Anne Curtis
Anne Curtis Smith (Filipino-Australian) is an actor, TV presenter, record artist, and businesswoman. She received many accolades throughout her career. Her film career has had her nominated for a total of 8 PMPC Star Awards in the Films category, and 2 Gawad Urian Award. Curtis was in the roles of Hiram Kampanerang Kuba (2005), Maging Sino Ka Man Dyosa (2007) Green Rose (2011) and Kailangan Ko'y Ikaw (2003). In the Mars Ravelo show Dyesebel she played Komiks iconic character Dyesebel. Her other roles include hosting the popular midday show It's Showtime from 2009 to 2020. Anne Curtis, born on 17 February, 1985 in Australia, and also the Philippines is an actress television presenter entrepreneur recording artist. In her long career she has been awarded numerous prizes like those two FAMAS Awards two Metro Manila Film Festival Awards in addition to in five PMPC Star Awards. Curtis has been nominated to win 8 PMPC Star Awards, two Gawad Urian Awards and for an award at the Gawad Urian Awards. Curtis played the role of Hiram (2004), Kampanerang Kuba (2005) Maging Sino Dyosa (2007) Green Rose (2011) as well as Kailangan Ko'y Ikaw (2013). She portrayed Dyesebel as the eminent Komiks character in Mars Ravelo's Dyesebel. Also, she has been the presenter on the popular noontime variety show It's Showtime (2009-2020). Curtis is the daughter of Carmencita Ojales, a Filipina native to Bolinao Pangasinan, and James Ernest Curtis Smith who is an Australian attorney. She was born at Yarrawonga located in Victoria, Australia. Her father married Ojales who was a Filipina from Bolinao Pangasinan in 1982. Her older sister Jasmine was also an actor. Clare is a cousin of theirs on the father's end. Clare passed away at four months old in 2007 due to a cardio-vascular disease.
